ARTXV featured in Forbes!

If you’ve heard much about NFTs, you’ll have probably heard about multi-million dollar sales and seen the enormous hype over images that all seem to look a whole lot like avatars… we get it. The whole thing looks confusing, any tweets to do with NFTs are filled with acronym and slang that no one understands and the whole space is seriously lacking in diversity (both the art and the community).

BUT! NFTs can provide an incredible opportunity to minorities and underrepresented artists. Gone are the days of inaccessible applications to art institutes or trying to break into that elite circle of art curators and galleries to get taken seriously as an artist. With NFTs, all you need is a social media account of some sort to showcase your work and from there your marketing is up to you!

Don‘t get us wrong, there is still a whole long way to go to improve accessibility in the space, but the opportunities for artists, particularly within the disabled community, are looking very promising.

Thank you to Rebekah Bastian and Forbes for including the disabled community in their feature on diversity. Read the piece here!
